It was one thing for Dylan Larkin to make his NHL debut with the Red Wings to open the 2015-16 season. In doing so, he became the team’s first 19-year -old player to debut on opening night in 25 years (Mike Sillinger did it in 1990). It was an entire different thing for him to debut the way he did. Flying quickly down the ice on the left side, he went top shelf and buried a shot over the right shoulder of Maple Leafs goaltender Jonathan Bernier. Hall of Famer Steve Yzerman was the last Red Wings skater to score in his first NHL game. For good measure, Larkin also assisted on one of Justin Abdelkader’s three goals in the 4-0 win. Larkin has signed and inscribed “1st goal 10/9/15” on this Red Wings Reebok Premier Jersey in black paint pen. His signature and inscription are deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five Step Process.
