An NHL skater’s debut game is mostly filled with nerves. While veteran teammates are trying to make plays to win the game, rookies often just don’t want to mess up in their first time on NHL ice. That wasn’t the case for Red Wings rookie Dylan Larkin. Although he was nervous before the game – “When you’re coming out to the introduction, you’re just trying to focus not to fall,” he said – it didn’t take him long to feel like he was an official Red Wing. The 15th overall pick of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft wowed the home crowd when he found the back of the net in the beginning of the second period. He also assisted on one of three goals from left wing Justin Abdelkader as Detroit cruised to a 4-0 victory over the Maple Leafs. This designed piece includes an image of Larkin skating out for introductions as well as his postgame celebration following his first career goal. Larkin has signed and inscribed “1st goal 10/9/15” on this limited edition (25) Debut 16” x 20” image in silver paint pen. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five Step Process.
