When Rexall Place closed for the Oilers on 4/6/16, the team held a ceremony honoring some of the great Oilers of the past who made the Edmonton arena home. The team moved to Rogers Place to open the 2016-17 season so the organization honored its many great skaters at the arena that originally went by the name of Northlands Coliseum. This image shows the Oilers greatness of the past coupled with the hope of the future as Wayne Gretzky and Connor McDavid posed for a moment following the Farewell to Rexall Place ceremony after the final Oilers game there. Upper Deck Authenticated had this moment with two Oilers greats autographed by each one in an item only available from UDA. Gretzky and McDavid have autographed this limited edition (100) “Generations” 16” x 20” image in silver paint pen. Their signatures are deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five Step Process.
