A new era has begun in Madison Square Garden. Just five days short of his 19th birthday, the New York Rangers selected Alexis Lafrenière with the first pick in the 2020 NHL draft. Lafrenière made the 22-man roster and was listed as an active forward for the opener against their biggest rival, New York Islanders.
