Details
Before the 1980s and ’90s started to see a rise in specialization in the NBA, players like Jerry West were great because, simply put, they were basketball players. West could do it all, dribble, pass, shoot, rebound and defend. His abilities with the ball in his hand are legendary for his combination of flair and fundamental. It’s no reason the 14-year Lakers great was chosen as the silhouette for the NBA logo. West averaged 6.7 assists per game in his career to go with 27.0 points and 5.8 rebounds in 932 regular season games. He led the Lakers to a championship in 1972 on a squad that also featured Wilt Chamberlain, Gail Goodrich and future Lakers head coach Pat Riley.
This unique piece features a 16" x 24" image with an autographed oversized NBA logo patch mounted to the image. The total framed size is 20” x 28”. West has autographed this limited edition (44) framed Logo Man Patch in black paint pen. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
