It’s serendipitous in more ways than one that LeBron James joined the Lakers as the third team in his career. Tops on the list are two things: 1.) he joined the organization that owns 16 championships as one of the most storied teams in all of sports, and 2.) he has had some outstanding moments in his career against the Lakers’ greatest rival, the Boston Celtics. Perhaps the most memorable moment in his career vs. the Celtics came in the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals Game 6. With the Heat facing elimination, he scored 45 points to send the series back to Miami for Game 7. LeBron and the Heat would win Game 7 and he would go on to win his first career NBA Finals championship. Not to be outdone was his effort in Game 7 of the 2018 Eastern Conference Finals in which he scored 35 points and came within one assist of a triple-double in another elimination game victory. In short, James plays some of his most inspired basketball against the classic Celtics. Now he gets to have those moments as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. This image showcases James flying to the basket to finish a power jam against the Lakers’ storied rival, the Celtics. The game captured in this photo was played at Staples Center in Los Angeles on 3/9/19. The image is double-matted and framed for a true finished piece. James has autographed this framed limited edition (100) “On This Occasion” 40” x 30” designed image in silver paint pen. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
