Although he played for a total of 5 different NBA teams, Dominique Wilkins will always be known as an Atlanta Hawk. Wilkins played 12 seasons with the Hawks, he was a nine-time all-star and seven-time all-NBA team member. Wilkins holds the record for most games played (882), most minutes played (32,545), most career points (23,292), and most points per game (26.4) in Hawks franchise history. In addition to being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006 Wilkins was honored as one of the NBA’s greatest players of all time when he was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. Wilkins, also known as the “Human Highlight Film” for his highlight reel dunks, is one of five players whose jersey number has been retired by the Hawks.
