This limited edition Upper Deck Authenticated design highlights the incredible career of Patrick Roy during his time with the Montreal Canadiens. Roy is known for popularizing the 'butterfly' style of play that you see almost every goalie in the game use today. In the butterfly style of play, the goaltender drops to their knees by spreading the goalie pads and covering the lower part of the goal. In the late 1980s, Roy perfected the style while playing with pads designed by Michel Lefebvre and a glove designed by Brian Heaton. Roy has neatly inked his autograph in silver paint pen on this limited edition photo. Roy's signature was witnessed by a UDA representative and is deemed authentic under Upper Deck Authenticated's Five-Step Process.
