Green, a the No.2 overall pick in the 2021 draft, shook the basketball world when he announced he was skipping college and joining the G League. Green had received offers from well-known NCAA teams such as Oregon, Kentucky, Auburn, and Memphis before joining the G League. Green was born and raised in Central California. He played most of his high school basketball at San Joaquin Memorial High in Fresno, Cali., then he transferred to Prolific Prep High in Napa, Calif., for his senior year.
