The 2023-24 City Edition uniforms for the Los Angeles Lakers, known as “The California Dream”, pay tribute to the franchise’s years in Los Angeles and its different eras. With the black jersey representing the Lakers learning their identity when they first moved to LA and the purple representing the sunset, the Los Angeles wordmark honors the 1960s when the uniforms used the city name, and it also pays tribute to the successful 1999-2017 era with a similar number font. With 24.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.3 blocks per game, the center received his ninth career All-Star selection while helping lead the Lakers to another playoff appearance.
