In what was the strangest environment in NBA Finals history, it wasn’t unusual that the Los Angeles Lakers came away champions. The 2020 Finals series was played in a “bubble” with no fans in attendance thanks to the precautions being taken as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. But some things looked quite familiar, starting with the Lakers winning their 17^th title, tying them with the Boston Celtics for the most all time. It also marked LeBron James’ fourth NBA Finals championship with three different organizations.

It was a first on several levels for teammate Anthony Davis. Although AD had played in many All-Star Games and won championships at the collegiate as well as Olympic level, it was his first trip to the NBA Finals and hence his first title there. Davis averaged 25 points and 10.7 rebounds as the Lakers beat the Miami Heat in six games.
