In the 2023-24 season, the NBA introduced the In-Season Tournament, in which every team competed in a tournament in hopes of winning the NBA Cup trophy. The format featured six groups of five teams each participating in Round Robin play with four teams advancing in each conference and a single elimination bracket from there, with the semifinals and championship game held in Las Vegas. The dominance continued in the knockout stage, where the Lakers once again ran the table to secure the NBA Cup. Davis was very important to the Lakers’ success, as he recorded a double-double in every game of the tournament. He saved his best performance for the championship game, where he scored 41 points and grabbed 20 rebounds to help the Lakers take home the Cup with a 123-109 over the Indiana Pacers. Anthony Davis was recognized for his success by earning a spot on the All-NBA In-Season Tournament Team.
