The addition of Anthony Davis to the Lakers roster was exactly what the organization needed. He proved to be the missing piece to the championship puzzle. A perennial All-Star and one of the top big men in the league, Davis rounded out what was already a solid roster headed by multi-time champion LeBron James. The end result was an NBA Finals championship, the fourth of James’ career and the first of Davis’. AD wasn’t just a role player though. He played perhaps his best season, dominating on both ends of the court while bringing veteran leadership and the type of mental toughness that pays off greatly in clutch situations. He finished that 2019-20 season with the fourth First Team All-NBA selection of his career.
