Details
Called up to the Boston Bruins for the 1966-67 season, Bobby Orr played 10 of his 12 seasons in the NHL with the Boston Bruins. The Bruins initially thought Orr wasn’t fit to be a defensemen and started him at center in the pre-season wearing number 27 (he would switch back to defensemen wearing number 4 when the season started). While Orr probably would’ve been a Hall of Famer at any position, moving back to defensemen proved to be the biggest move of his career. Orr would win a total of 8 James Norris Memorial Trophy’s (Defensemen of the year) throughout his career and despite the fact that he only played 657 games, his record still stands as the most Norris Trophies won of any NHL player in history.
This image is autographed by Bobby Orr. His signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
