AEW has experienced soaring popularity since its founding in 2019, and a lot of that can be attributed Dr. Britt Baker, DMD. As the first woman signed by the promotion, her personality and in-ring success have led to her having a big following of fans, whether she was a heel or not. While balancing wrestling with her dental practice, Baker has found a way to perform at the highest level. In 2021 her dedication really started to pay off, as she experienced one of the most dominant runs among women in AEW, holding the AEW Women’s World Championship belt for 290 days and successfully defending it seven times. As the face of the women’s division, Baker is always trying to build up other wrestlers to push them forward ahead of other promotions’ women’s divisions.
