On May 25, 2019, Chris Jericho would defeat Adam Page at AEW All-Out to become the Inaugural AEW World Champion. Jericho already had an established and decorated career across various wrestling platforms prior to joining AEW, after defeating Page he was able to add “Inaugural AEW World Champion” to his career resume. Various wrestling outlets have named Chris Jericho one of the greatest wrestlers ever with the Baltimore Sun once featuring Jericho on their “Top 10 favorite wrestlers of all time” and “Top 10 all-around performers” list. Journalist Chris Van Vliet has previously asserted that Jericho is “if not the best, certainly one of the best”. Along with his wrestling career Jericho is also the lead singer for the heavy metal band Fozzy which has released seven studio albums since their debut album in 2000.
