It is only fitting that the first world championship of AEW was won by one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, Chris Jericho. His 30 year career has been filled with many great moments inside the ring. With seven career world championship titles under his belt, he looks to add more to his name within AEW.  At the age of 52, Jericho has not slowed down a bit as he continues to perform at a very high level. While he is still a dangerous threat in the ring, he also takes pride in the growth of AEW. On October 18th, 2022, Jericho signed a multi-year extension that will keep him with AEW until 2025. Jericho plans on hunting down his next world championship to add to his storied career.
