Born in Seattle, Washington, Darby Allin took part in track and field, wrestling and football at a young age and had a grandfather who played professional football. While in film school in Arizona, Allin decided to pursue a career in skateboarding and appeared regularly in skateboarding videos. His love of competition led him to professional wrestling where he made his professional wrestling debut in late 2014. On April 12, 2019, Allin signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), and made his AEW debut at Fyter Fest on June 29. He has some notable and memorable wins in his career, defeating Sammy Guevara at Revolution, Ricky Starks at Dynamite, and on November 7, 2020, defeating Cody Rhodes to win the AEW TNT Championship at Full Gear. He later teamed up with Rhodes to defeat Will Hobbs and Ricky Starks. He has defended his championship with wins over Brian Cage at 2021 New Year’s Smash Night 2 and at the 2021 AEW TNT Championship against Scorpio Sky. He teamed up with Sting to defeat Team Taz’s Ricky Starks and Brian Cage in a street fight at Revolution. The duo also defeated Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page at Double or Nothing. He also defeated Page in AEW’s first-ever Coffin Match at Night 1 of Fyter Fest. Allin challenged the Dark Order’s John Silva to retain the title. He has had a record-setting reign of his AEW TNT Championship at 186 days which also included wins over JD Drake, The Butcher, Jungle Boy and Dark Order’s 10. A longtime fan of punk rock, Darby Allin’s name is derived from the front man of The Germs, Darby Crash, and the transgressive musician GG Allin.
In his young career, Allin has won one heavyweight championship, an AEW TNT Championship and a Dynamite Award for Breakout Star (2021). This image is autographed by Darby Allin.
