Standing at 6-foot-1, you would think Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland would be intimidated to drive to the basket with the plethora of big men waiting to shut him down. But whether it’s finishing strongly at the rim or kicking it out for an easy look, Garland is adept at making plays happen when the ball is in his hands. In his rookie season of 2019-20, Garland notched at least five assists in four of his first nine games while scoring at least eight points in seven of those contests. He averaged 12.3 points and 3.9 assists per game as a rookie.
