Details
Drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the second round of the 1986 NBA Draft, Dennis Rodman joined the team as an under-the-radar pick. As the Pistons were rebuilding and establishing their identity, the future Hall-of-Famer was known as the shy kid. As the team started working its way back to contention, they became known for their physicality and hard defense, which earned them the moniker “Bad Boys”. Along with Detroit’s talent, this attitude helped propel them to the franchise’s first two championships, as they went back-to-back in 1989 and 1990. This era coincided with Rodman breaking out of his shell with his well-known personality while also becoming a force on defense, especially on the boards. The “Bad Boys” will always be remembered for the way they transformed the game of basketball with players like Rodman setting the tone.
This limited edition (25) image is autographed and inscribed “Bad Boys” by Dennis Rodman with a silver paint pen. Rodman’s signature and inscription were witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
