Dereck Lively has all the tools to be the next star in the NBA. Out of high school, he was the top recruit in the country. He decided to attend Duke University, where he developed even more talent. During college, he learned a lot about his strengths: utilizing his size and athletic ability. In Lively’s 34 games played with Duke, he posted 177 points, 184 rebounds, and 82 blocks. While he may not have found the basket as much as he wanted, Lively was sure to help Duke with rebounds and blocks. His big game of the year came against UNC when he managed 14 rebounds and eight blocks. Lively will look to take this skillset with him to the next level in the NBA.
