Emoni Bates Autographed The Show “The Start” 46x20

From a young age, it was apparent that Emoni Bates would reach the NBA. A growth spurt that resulted him being 6’7” tall in the seventh grade gave the forward a leg up on the competition from the start. Bates would go on to lead his high school to the Michigan state championship in his freshman year and had them in position to repeat in his sophomore season before the 2020 tournament was suspended midway through. The Ypsilanti native was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year in his sophomore year, among many other awards in high school. After reclassifying to skip his senior season, Bates was a top five national college recruit before landing at Memphis. He would transfer to come back home with Eastern Michigan, where he had a breakout season with 19.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. As a result, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected Bates in the 2023 NBA Draft, giving him the opportunity to play professional basketball. He made his debut on October 28, 2023 in a home game against the Indiana Pacers, then scored his first career points in the next game on October 31, scoring 9 points with 6 rebounds in just under 23 minutes played. Bates is seen as part of the future of a very exciting Cavaliers team that has taken the league by storm.
