Details
Captaincy has been long regarded as one of the highest honors for hockey players. Team captains have a lot of responsibilities on and off the ice, as they are seen as the team leader and usually one of the team’s top players. After two great seasons to start his career, in 1994 Eric Lindros was named the tenth captain in Philadelphia Flyers history at just 21 years old. The decision instantly proved to be correct, as the new captain won the Hart Memorial Trophy as the 1994-95 season MVP and led the Flyers to their first playoff appearance in six seasons. Lindros continued his dominance and high scoring to help take Philadelphia to the playoffs in the next five years to finish his tenure with the team, including a Stanley Cup Finals appearance in 1997. The hall-of-famer’s leadership and strong play help lead the Flyers back to relevance and cemented him as a Flyers legend.
This image is autographed by Eric Lindros with a silver paint pen. Lindros’ signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck Authenticated representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
