Gary Payton won gold at the Olympics on two separate occasions. His first gold medal came in the 1996 Olympics which were held in Atlanta, Georgia. That year the USA Team went a perfect 8-0. They dominated in every game as Brazil had the closest scoring game losing by 23. Payton and Team USA defeated Yugoslavia 95-69 to win gold. Payton’s second gold medal came in the 2000 Olympics which were held in Syndey, Australia. Again, Payton and Team USA went a perfect 8-0 to secure gold. In this Championship game, they faced off against France and won 85-75.

This Molten Gold Trophy basketball is autographed by Gary Payton with a black paint pen. Payton’s signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
