Despite having handfuls of Division I scholarship offers before the age of 15, Jalen Green has always had his sights on making his presence felt on a more grand stage than the NCAA hardwood as seen in his decision to forego his college career and jump straight into playing for G-league Ignite during the 2020-2021 season. Since Green’s move was so unprecedented and the first of its kind, there was much speculation from analysts and scouts on whether or not a top prospect like him would be able to succeed in the G-league while also trying to boost his draft stock. Using this added motivation, Green elevated  his game consistently throughout the season  as he lead his team in scoring with 17.9PPG and even added in a remarkable 30, 7, and 5 playoff performance.
