Registering at 6’8” and 219 pounds Jalen Johnson was a 1st round draft pick by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2021 NBA Draft.  Drafted out of Duke, Johnson needed only one season with the Blue Devils before signing with the Atlanta Hawks on August 4th, 2021. While Johnson spent a lot of his first professional season with the Hawks G-League affiliate the College Park Skyhawks he showed promise going back and forth averaging over 20 points a game with College Park both in the Regular Season and the Showcase Cup.  During the 2022-2023 season Johnson has spent more time with the Atlanta Hawks and has been making leaps and bounds in the NBA posting multiple games of double-digit points including his first double-double on December 2nd, 2022 in helping the Hawks defeat the Denver Nuggets 117-109. Later that month, Johnson continued his upward trend when he scored his career high in points in a 15 point effort against the Los Angeles Lakers.
