In the 2019-20 season, the Atlanta Hawks’ uniform set featured a popular City Edition jersey that paid tribute to the famous Peachtree Street in Atlanta. Three years later, the team revived the idea with a similar look for their 2022-23 City Edition uniforms. The black uniforms were complemented with colors they called “Electro Peach and Sunset Haze” to represent Georgia, aka The Peach State. These also represent the city of Atlanta as a nod to its “roots as a cultural trendsetter”. Among the many things that gives the city of Atlanta pride is Hawks basketball. The franchise has had a lot of exciting talent over the years, and one of the newest up-and-comers is forward Jalen Johnson. The 2021 first round draft pick has continued to improve each year in the league and is a big part of the Hawks’ future. With increased playing time in 2023-24, Johnson improved across the board, with 16 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game. He recorded 18 double-doubles and his first career triple-double in this breakout year. Johnson has an exciting style of play and is seeing the results that give Hawks fans something to be excited about for years to come.
