Details
When the Denver Nuggets selected Jalen Rose in the first round of the 1994 NBA Draft, it was known the standout from the University of Michigan had the talent to be a great player in the league. After a couple of solid seasons as a young newcomer to the NBA, the Detroit native was traded to the Indiana Pacers, where he really turned the corner and blossomed into the player he was known to be. As Rose grew into his potential, he began to regularly average double-digit points per game, including 20.5 points per game in his final full season with the Pacers. The team’s success also took off as Indiana reached the playoffs in four of Rose’s five full seasons with the team, including three consecutive trips to the Eastern Conference Finals. The highlight for both Rose and the team during his tenure was the 1999-2000 season, where the small forward raised his scoring average by over seven points per game from the year before and the Pacers reached the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history. As the leading scorer that year, Rose was a vital piece to the team and can attribute his career taking off to those years with the Pacers.
This jersey is autographed by Jalen Rose with a black paint pen. Rose’s signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
