Joe Montana was nicknamed 'Joe Cool' for his extraordinary success in clutch situations. Montana was so successful that he quarterbacked an NFL dynasty which won four Super Bowls in the 1980's and compiled a .713 winning percentage, third best in the Super Bowl era.
