In his early days in the independent circuit, he earned the nickname Jungle Boy for his unique appearance that drew similarities to Tarzan. Although he was not originally a big fan of the persona himself, Perry ran with it after realizing how popular it was among fans. He has fully embraced the character by keeping the long curly hair and wearing leopard print shorts. Jungle Boy made a team with Luchasaurus called Jurassic Express. The duo was not only a perfect match for their similar gimmicks, but they also won the AEW World Tag Team Championship on January 5, 2022, and held the title for 161 days. Now going by his birth name of Jack Perry in the ring and focusing more on singles matches, he still keeps the same persona that everyone has grown to love.
