Born on December 16, 2023, Justin Edwards has had to deal with pressure and high expectations his whole life. His mother, Ebony Twiggs, was a star basketball player at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania as well as professionally overseas in Portugal. At Imhotep Institute Charter High School Edwards would help his school win the Philadelphia City championship as a sophomore and the PIAA Class 5A state championship his junior and senior years. In 2023 he was selected to play in the McDonald’s All-American, Jordan Brand Classic, and Nike Hoop Summit. Upon committing to Kentucky Edwards’ preseason performance was so impressive he would win the Wooden Award and be selected to be on the Naismith Trophy Preseason Watch List. As he enters the 2024 NBA Draft after just one year of college, Justin Edwards has proven that he has the skillset to compete at the highest level and that pressure does not faze him.
