Keldon Johnson is a player who has truly continued to rise since his 2019 NBA debut. The former first-round draft pick followed the San Antonio Spurs’ standard development plan, seeing seldom minutes to begin his rookie season. However, once the 2019-20 season restarted in the bubble, Johnson took advantage of his newly found playing time and showed he belonged with three 20+ point games and his first career double-double. The small forward has only continued to grow offensively since, raising his scoring average in each of the three seasons after. Johnson rose to new heights in 2022-23, when he led the Spurs in scoring with a career-high 22 points per game. The emergence of Keldon Johnson is a great sign for Spurs fans as the team keeps building to return to its winning ways that people are accustomed to.
