On February 4, 2022, the Portland Trail Blazers made a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers to change the direction of their future. Since LA didn’t have any first-round draft picks to offer, Portland was fortunate to land a first-rounder in his rookie year, Keon Johnson. The shooting guard out of Tennessee was highly lauded for his elite athleticism that creates scoring opportunities, and his size that allows him to defend with physicality. As he gained more playing time, Johnson was able to make an immediate impact and was able to accelerate his development with the Trail Blazers by recording multiple double-digit point games. Johnson will continue to ride his athleticism to make strides toward making his name as a notable NBA player.
