“Dream Big” is a phrase Kerri Walsh Jennings has lived her life around and has inspired others to achieve their dreams. The beach volleyball legend grew up in Santa Cruz, California dreaming of being a professional volleyball player, and started to realize that dream when she moved to San Jose, California for high school. There she helped lead Archbishop Mitty High School to three state titles while earning national honors and being named the number one recruit in the country. Walsh Jennings’ upward trajectory continued in college with the Stanford Cardinal, where she won two consecutive national championships, as well as a Final Four MVP and co-National Player of the Year award. After appearing in the 2000 Olympics with the indoor volleyball team, Walsh Jennings transitioned to beach volleyball, where she would join Misty May-Treanor to form the most dominant beach volleyball pair of all time. The duo would go on to win three Olympic gold medals together, as well as set numerous records in a run of international and domestic wins. Kerri Walsh Jennings is a perfect embodiment of setting big dreams and using her potential to live them.
