While the career of Lakers great Magic Johnson was coming to a conclusion, two of the next great point guards were starting to find their rhythm as the game's next great distributors. The era was the late 1980s-early '90s, and Cleveland's Mark Price and Utah's John Stockton were establishing themselves as outstanding passers who could score, much like Magic did for the Showtime-era Lakers. For a period of approximately eight years during this time, Price and Stockton ran 1-2 in point guard rankings. While both were outstanding distributors Stockton often led the league in assists and Price was in the top 10 Stockton was known for his defensive prowess while Price was more known for his shooting. They combined for 14 All-Star Game appearances and provided countless memories in their 1-on-1 matchups. Stockton finished his career as the leading assist and steals man in NBA history while Price ranks second in career free throw percentage and 31st in 3-point field goal percentage. Here, Price is driving to the lane against Stockton in one of their epic battles of the past. Price has signed this Price vs. Stockton 8" x 10" image in silver paint pen.
