On November 19, 2023, MJF made history when he defeated Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship Title. He became the youngest World Champion in AEW has ever seen. He also went on one of the best Title runs in professional wrestling. MJF held the World Championship Title for a record of 406 days. In that reign, MJF had multiple title defenses as he watched the target on his back grow larger and larger as AEW’s top villain. His run finally came to an end when Samoa Joe defeated him on December 30, 2023.
