Joining the highly talented Golden State Warriors as a first-round pick elevated all expectations for the star point guard out of Arkansas. Moses Moody’s debut was against one of the all-time greats LeBron James and the LA Lakers at the prominent Staples Center. Moody saw just six minutes but still managed two rebounds and two points. His first basket came off a pump fake three that was followed by a beautiful drive to the hoop and a crafty finish around Lakers superstar Anthony Davis. Moody’s rookie campaign was a special one as he played in 52 games and scored 228 points. His contributions helped the Warriors win their seventh NBA Finals Championship. Moody accomplished one of the greatest feats in the NBA which is winning the Finals. He stepped up big in the playoffs as Head Coach Steve Kerr utilized the rookie throughout the Western Conference Championship. Moody’s role with the Warriors was a big help in their historic season.
