Nick Smith Jr. was one of the top recruits of his class coming out of high school. While he battled through injury in his time with the University of Arkansas, he still showed everyone why he deserved to play at the next level. His best performance at the college level came against the University of Georgia. Smith Jr. scored 26 points while shooting 9-14 from the floor. He was able to knock down a career-high five three-pointers along with a rebound and two assists. Smith Jr. impressed NBA scouts which helped him get drafted in the first round of the 2023 NBA draft. He heard his name called off the draft board as the 27th overall pick to the Charlotte Hornets.
