After being selected 27th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft Nick Smith Jr. was ready to start his NBA career with the Charlotte Hornets. Smith Jr. came off the bench his first year and still managed to make an impact on the court. Through 51 games played, he averaged 5.9 points, 1.2 assists, and 1.4 rebounds per game. Smith Jr. finished 6th on the team in games played. He had an impressive three-point percentage of 43.2% while he drained over 60 threes.
