Details

The Montreal Canadiens are the most successful franchise in NHL history, so it would take a really special talent and career to stand out as one of the greatest players to put on that uniform. This applies to Patrick Roy, as he helped revolutionize the goalie position while in Montreal. The Hall of Famer burst out onto the scene and made his name well known on a Stanley Cup run for the ages. At just 20 years old, Roy broke out in the playoffs with a performance that earned him his first career Conn Smythe Trophy to go with his first career championship. The superstar goalie kept the Canadiens relevant during his whole career there as they were frequently in the playoffs. Roy would win the Vezina Trophy three different times as the league’s top goaltender and played in six NHL All-Star Games while representing Montreal. He won a second Stanley Cup with the Canadiens in 1993 while taking home his second Conn Smythe Trophy in his career. Roy’s achievements in Montreal were recognized as the Hall of Famer had his number 33 retired by the organization on November 22, 2008.

This puck is autographed by Patrick Roy with a silver paint pen. Roy’s signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck Authenticated representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
