Watson would leave UCLA after one season and declare for the draft where in his first season with the Denver Nuggets he would win an NBA title. A highly athletic 6-foot-8 defensive wing with a 7-foot wingspan Watson has built his early reputation on blocking shots, earning him the nickname from teammates “P-SWAT”. Watson played in 23 regular season games and 5 postseason games for the Nuggets during the 2022-2023 season. Watson’s solid play during the ’22-’23 season earned the NBA champion Denver’s top breakout candidate for the 2023-24 season by CBS Sports.
