Born in Beverly Hills, California, Peyton Watson attended Long Beach Poly High School where he would blossom into one of basketball’s top prospects throughout his high school years. A consensus five-star recruit, it was an easy choice for college for Watson as he would choose to attend school close to home at UCLA. After one year of college Watson would choose to go pro entering the 2022 NBA Draft, eventually ending up with the Denver Nuggets after a trade on draft night. The choice turned out to be a good one for Watson, while he would spend most of his first professional season splitting time between the Grand Rapids Gold and the Denver Nuggets, he would finish the season with the Nuggets and make the Nuggets’ playoff roster. Watson would win an NBA title in his first professional season when the Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat 4-1 in the NBA Finals.
