In the storied history of the USC Trojans football program, Reggie Bush is widely recognized as one of the best to ever play at the school. The five-star recruit out of San Diego, California made an immediate impact in his freshman year, setting the USC freshman record with 1,331 all-purpose yards on his way to being named to a first-team Freshman All-American. With a 12-1 record, the Trojans were named the AP National Champions of the 2003 college football season. Bush had an even stronger sophomore campaign in 2004. His 908 yards and six touchdowns rushing, 509 yards and seven touchdowns receiving, 537 kick return yards, and 376 punt return yards and two touchdowns led him to be named an All-American and finish fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting. With an 11-0 record and a 55-19 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners in the BCS National Championship Game, the Trojans were the 2004 BCS National Champions as well as the AP National Champions again. The superstar running back cemented his legacy in 2005, where his 2,890 all-purpose yards and 19 total touchdowns secured him the Heisman Trophy, the most prestigious award in college football, among many other honors. Bush has since had his number retired by USC and has been elected to the College Football Hall of Fame.
