Reggie Bush Autographed USC Trojans The Best of 2005 Sports Illustrated Cover Print

The 2005 season was a memorable one for Reggie Bush and the USC Trojans football team. Coming off two consecutive National Championships, USC was once again ranked number one in the country going into the season, led by Heisman hopefuls Bush at running back and the reigning winner Matt Leinart at quarterback. The Trojans came out of the gate running, winning their first five games of the season, all by double digits and setting up a top ten matchup against the longtime rival Notre Dame Fighting Irish. In a back-and-forth battle, USC found itself down 34-31 with the clock winding down, until Leinart scored a 1 yard rushing touchdown with the aide of Bush pushing him across the goal line, a play famously still known as the “Bush Push”. The Trojans’ undefeated streak continued and lasted through the regular season, as they defeated the crosstown rival UCLA Bruins 66-19 as a statement to finish the regular season 12-0. Bush starred all season, recording 1,740 rushing yards, 478 receiving yards, and 672 return yards to go with 19 total touchdowns. He earned the honor of winning the Heisman Trophy as the best college football player that year.
