Shane Wright Black Team Canada Logo Hockey Puck

As Shane Wright continues to progress through his NHL career, it’s worth noting all that he has accomplished on the international stage. Born in Burlington, Ontario, the Canada native has relished his time representing his country. Wright first donned a Team Canada jersey when playing for Team Canada Black’s U17 team in the 2019-20 World Hockey Challenge. Here he would total 7 points (4 goals and 3 assists) in 5 games played. The following year was when Wright started to make his impact. Wright would play at the 2021 World U-18 Championships and would finish second in the tournament scoring race with 14 points (9 goals and 5 assists) in 5 games, helping Team Canada to a gold medal. After being drafted by the Seattle Kraken, Wright would once again represent Team Canada at the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championships, this time playing as captain he would help Canada to another gold medal, his second with Team Canada.
