Skateboarding is in Sky Brown’s blood, and she does not know life without it. Following in her father’s footsteps, the world champion and Olympic medalist started riding a skateboard at three years old, not long after she learned how to walk. Brown fell in love with this hobby so much that she could not stop riding, so it was only natural she decided to compete in the sport. In a more unconventional approach, instead of having a skateboarding coach, Sky has learned tricks by watching YouTube clips. She has also spent time practicing with fellow multi-sport athlete and snowboarding superstar Shaun White. Her passion and dedication have paid off as she has developed into one of the most talented skateboarders in the world, even without factoring in her young age. With seven different medals across multiple professional competitions before turning 15, Sky Brown will only add on to her already impressive resume as she grows in her career.
