Although born in Miyazaki, Japan, Sky Brown’s love for surf and skating makes her a likely candidate to be found ripping it up along the entire west coast all year long. Having started both extreme sports at the young age of three, Brown is now a seasoned veteran with the fine-tuned skills of a lifelong athlete and has taken up friendships and bonds with many all-time greats such as Huntington Beach local and pro skating legend, Christian Hosoi. As a great family friend for much of her life, Hosoi provides a great sense of inspiration and mentorship for Sky as she navigates towards becoming one of the world’s most prolific young athletes while continuing to hone her craft on the sweet waves and smooth pavement of sunny Southern California.
