When Sting joined AEW in 2020, it was a big moment of the up-and-coming wrestling promotion, as Sting is one of the biggest names wrestling has ever seen. Early in his tenure, he was paired with Darby Allin, an original AEW member and part of the Four Pillars, and the two became inseparable. With Sting serving as the mentor and Allin as the protégé, they would go on to compete together in tag team matches, with their first live match coming on May 30, 2021. The duo became unstoppable as they went undefeated during Sting’s entire run with AEW. The biggest win came on February 7, 2024 when they defeated Ricky Starks and Big Bill to capture the AEW World Tag Team Championship belt. The duo was able to hold onto the belt through Sting’s retirement match on March 3, 2024, where they successfully defended the title against the Young Bucks at AEW Revolution.
