Australia’s Gold Coast played a big part in Toni Storm’s upbringing and is a big reason why she is where she is today in her wrestling career. The multi-time AEW champion was born in Auckland, Australia, but moved to the Gold Coast when she was four years old. It was there that she first discovered wrestling on tv and became very interested in the sport when she was ten. Luckily for Storm, Gold Coast had the resources for her to train and learn to wrestle, and she debuted at age 13. Storm spent the rest of her youth career there until going international, and the rest is history. After bouncing around a few countries and promotions, she found herself at AEW in 2022 where she has found success and popularity. Toni Storm won her first AEW Women’s World Championship later that year, and since won it two more times. Between her victories and her “Timeless” character, Storm is one of the faces of AEW.
