Details
Originally called Cougar Stadium, LaVell Edwards Stadium has been the home of the BYU Cougars football team since 1964. The now 63,470-seat stadium was named for legendary BYU head coach LaVell Edwards in his 29th and final season. Since the stadium was built, the Cougars have found a lot of success, including 23 conference titles (before becoming independent for a period of time), a national championship in 1984, and a Heisman Trophy winner in 1990. Located on campus, LaVell Edwards Stadium is a popular destination among fans, as BYU has consistently ranked in the top 25 in attendance across college football since expanding capacity. With Kedon Slovis at the helm as quarterback, the Cougars have felt this home-field advantage, winning their first four home games of 2023. In those games, the senior quarterback threw for 843 yards with 8 touchdowns and only one interception. Slovis has given BYU fans something to be excited for in their first season in the Big 12.
This panoramic image is autographed by Kedon Slovis. Slovis’ signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
